Ace The Final · Free Flashcards

Free flashcards — unlimited, like they should be.

Make a set, study it in Learn mode as many rounds as you need, and let spaced repetition bring back the cards you're about to forget — right on schedule. No round caps. No 'test limit reached'. No account wall between you and your own notes.

How it works

  1. Create a set — type term-and-definition pairs, or paste a list you already have and import it in one go.
  2. Study in Learn mode — cards come back in rounds, mixing what you know with what you don't, until the whole set sticks.
  3. Trust the due counter — spaced repetition schedules each card for review just before you'd forget it. The site tells you what's due; you just show up.
  4. Take a practice test — when Learn mode feels easy, test yourself under exam conditions and see what's actually left shaky.

Why 'unlimited' is the whole point

The biggest flashcard site on earth now rations its free tier: students report free Learn mode stopping after roughly five rounds and practice tests limited to one per set — exactly when the studying is starting to work. Spaced repetition only works if you can keep going: the method is literally 'review at expanding intervals until recall is automatic', and a paywall at round five breaks the mechanism, not just the budget.

So this one is built the other way. Unlimited sets, unlimited Learn rounds, unlimited practice tests, and a due system that tracks every card's schedule — because the software costs nothing extra per round, and charging you for round six would be charging you for the method itself.

  • No account. Your decks live in your browser. Open the page and study — there's no sign-up step to abandon at 1 a.m.
  • Paste-to-import. Notes already in a list? Paste them and they become a deck.
  • Mastery you can see. Progress bars per set, so 'am I ready?' has an answer that isn't a feeling.
  • Pairs with the focus timer on the same page — 25 focused minutes beats two distracted hours.

Questions students actually ask

Is it really free — no trial, no catch?

Really free. No account, no card, no round limits, no locked modes. The tools run locally in your browser, so there's no server bill per study session to pass on to you.

How is this different from Quizlet's free tier?

The caps. Quizlet's free tier limits Learn rounds per set (students report about five) and practice tests (about one per set), then asks for Plus. Here both are unlimited, and spaced repetition with due tracking is included rather than sold.

How does spaced repetition work here?

Cards you know get scheduled further out; cards you miss come back sooner. Each card has a due date, and the deck shows what's due today. Reviewing at the edge of forgetting is what moves facts into long-term memory — that's the entire science of the method.

Can I import a deck I already have?

Yes — if your cards exist as a term-and-definition list, paste it in and the importer builds the set. It's the fastest way to move a deck over.

Where are my flashcards stored?

In your browser, on your device. There's no account system, which also means no sync between devices — the trade-off we chose deliberately: zero sign-up friction over cloud features.
